What is CBD?
CBD stands for cannabidiol, the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis. While CBD is an essential component of marijuana, CBD is derived directly from the hemp plant, also known as Cannabis sativa, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant. This compound is part of a complex body system called the Endocannabinoid System. This system regulates processes in the body such as appetitie, pain, mood, memory, digestion, sleep, and more. CBD binds to these pivot points in the system, known as Endocannabinoid Receptors (CB1 and CB2). These receptors are found throughout the body in the brain, organs, connective tissues, glands, and immune cells to naturally restore balance in the body.
What makes CBD from hemp unique is its therapeutic properties that interact with the endocannabinoid system, specifically the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors. CBD does not interact with the body the same way as maruijuana and has NO psychoactive properties.
Farming Matters
Farming methods used to obtain CBD oil is extremely important because the hemp plant is phytomedial, meaning it is a plant used for removal of contaminants in soils, sludges, sediments, surface water, and groundwater. Hemp is a fast growing plant that has deep roots and is unaffected by the toxins it accumulates from the soil and air as well as heavy metals like lead, cadmium, magnesium, chromium, and many others. Contaminated hemp plants will produce contaminated CBD oil. If you don't want toxins in your CBD oil, it needs to be produced with quality and purity at the forefront of the process.

Why Infuse CBD with Essential Oils?
To remove all THC from our CBD oil, we use CBD isolate. CBD Isolate is the crystalline powder containing 99% pure CBD, which results from a precise extraction process. In the process of creating the isolate, all plant matter from the hemp plant (including oils, waxes, chlorophyll, and more) is removed, offering a finished product that is only CBD.
With a CBD isolate product, you do not get the euphoric high from products containing THC. However, because this CBD Isolate lacks the terpenes, flavonoids, and cannabinoids originally found in the plant matter, some of the synergistic and systemic body response is lost, which could result in the CBD product being less therapeutically effective.
For this reason, Nature's Ultra CBD is made up of an ultra precise combination of CBD Isolate combined with Young Living essential oils rich in terpenes to produce a smart spectrum CBD oil that provides a systemic response toward homeostasis without THC.
